As the increasingly serious air pollution and the increasing cost of fossil energy, howto make the vehicle more environment-friendly, especially medium and large ones, reducethe economic cost and realize the target of saving energy and cutting down the emission havebecome one of the predominant tasks.The paper came up with HBBO to solve the problem of parameter optimization of serieshydraulic hybrid vehicle and verified the effect of hydraulic hybrid vehicle parametersoptimization. The paper mainly focused on the following work:(1) Established parameter matching principle of series hydraulic hybrid vehicle.Analyzed the principle and operating mode of series hydraulic hybrid vehicle and thedemand for the key components. Further put forward the parameter matching principle ofkey components of series hydraulic hybrid transportation vehicle.(2) Built simulation model of series hydraulic hybrid vehicle in the AMESimenvironment and researched on control strategies. Built mathematical model of the engine,hydraulic accumulator, hydraulic pump/motor, transmission etc. Analyzed the advantagesand disadvantages of common control strategies of energy and decided to use the improvedrule control strategy to do the simulation experiments.(3) Did research on HBBO. To get better optimal effect of the vehicle and improveglobal searching ability of the optimization algorithm, the paper, based on BiogegraphyBased Optimization, combined GA algorithm and DE algorithm and came up with a mixedalgorithm HBBO. Verified the new algorithm’s performance with the method of numericaltest functions.(4) Did research on parameter optimization of series hydraulic hybrid vehicle.Combined with features of technology of series hydraulic hybrid vehicle and demands in ourlife, the paper determined the constraint conditions and established optimization model ofseries hydraulic hybrid vehicle by using the capacity of energy recycling, dynamicperformance, fuel economy as target functions. Applied HBBO to optimize the parametersof volume of accumulator, displacement of hydraulic pump/motor, displacement ofhydraulic pump and achieved the parameter optimization results of series hydraulic hybridvehicle.(5) Did research on simulation of series hydraulic hybrid vehicle. In the AMESimenvironment, established simulation the model of series hydraulic hybrid vehicle and compared the simulation consequences before and after the optimization based on thehighway driving cycle, HWFET, and the city driving cycle,10-15. The consequencedemonstrated that the optimized parameters vehicle can maintain the powerperformance of the original parameters vehicle; in economic aspect, the optimizedparameters vehicle improved fuel economy and achieved the goal of energy saving.
