With the energy shortage, environmental pollution is becoming increasingly serious, the development of new clean energy by the state attaches great importance to. Wind and solar energy receive a wide publicity and the rapid development, because of its cleanliness without any pollution, and inexhaustible etc., This is necessary for supporting the energy storage system due to intermittent electricity, effected by weather, not a continuous power supply. All vanadium redox flow battery due to its low cost, high efficiency, depth of discharge, become in large-scale energy storage in the most promising energy storage battery. This paper describes the structure and principles of the vanadium battery, summarizing its research progress in the study of vanadium battery, investigated an important part of the vanadium salts and solutions, including the following:1、V2O5was used to raw material and acetylene black as reducing agent preparation of VOSO4in this paper, investigated the influence of concentration of sulfuric acid, temperature、time of reaction molar ratio on the chemical reaction process; When C/H2SO4/V2O5molar ratio is2:8:1, the reaction temperature:130℃, reaction time:3h, the concentration of sulfuric acid:18mol/L, the V2O5conversion rate is93.26%, VOSO4solution was tested by using cyclic voltammetry at graphite plate electrodes, glassy carbon electrode, pyrolytic graphite electrode, results show that the electrochemical activity VOSO4solution on pyrolytic graphite electrodes is the best.2、Studied comparing titration analysis, potentiometric titration and UV spectrophotometry advantages and disadvantages;For titration analysis and potentiometric titration operation for a long time,using UV-spectrophotometry analytical V(II) system, a pure V(Ⅲ) detection system,a pure V(IV) system, V(Ⅱ)/V (Ⅲ) mixed system and V(Ⅲ)/V(Ⅳ) hybrid system in this paper.3、Studied V(Ⅱ)/V(Ⅲ) mixed system and V(Ⅲ)/V(Ⅳ) mixed system of physical properties of density, viscosity, acidity respectively.
