Welded Wire Fabric(WWF) with its factory-scale production, environmental protection has been widely used in house-building,road and bridges construction in many developed countries, but the application is still infancy in China.The products that applied to the whole piece of paved roads and bridges in the structure of the cross-section for housing construction beams, columns member are rarely in China.With different grid spacing of WWF into a tubular, steel mesh weft cater column stirrups, steel welded mesh to form the skeleton of concrete columns with a certain restraint performance. This dissertation investigates the following aspects through experimental research.Based on the concept analysis on the mechanical behavior of WWF confined concrete,we may come to the conclusion that with the closer space between the weft bars, the bar will show the characteristics of the column,and mechanical behavior will gradually approach to confined concrete column with the decrease of the steel mesh warp.The dissertation focus on the mechanical property of the different spacing of weft and warp rib reinforcement,for example,failure modes,bearing capacity and ductility of confined concrete columns under the axial compress experimentation between nine rectangular-section WWF concrete columns and a normal concrete column. It turns out that effective control over the cracks and improvement of the mechanical properties of components such as the maximum bearing capacity and ductility under the cooperative work of warp and weft reinforced.The dissertation combined with confined concrete stress mechanism proposed by scholars, and then put forward the force model of WWF confined concrete and demonstrated the efficiency for the model by experiment. Based on the confined concrete model theory of Saatcioglu and Razvi and the test data, theoretical model and experimental results fit well on regression analysis.The dissertation established a numerical analysis model of WWF confined concrete on the basis of ABAQUS and further tests on mechanical behavior of confined concrete under the strength of confined concrete, yield strength of WWF reinforcement and stirrups form had been conducted through this model.
