With the increasingly severe crisis of both resource and environment, the exploit and utility of wind power has become imperative in the area of renewable resource, the wind power generation is developing fast in the world. In recent years, accompanying the process of domestic wind-powered electricity technology programs which profoundly stimulate the pace of domestic wind-driven generators sets, many local and overseas companies have worked on these together. There are two kinds of sets which have been relatively matured:the doubly wind-fed power generation system and the direct drive permanent magnet synchronous wind power generation system. Compared with the doubly-fed generation system’s needing of excitation, the direct drive permanent magnet synchronous wind power generation system can be coupled easily, saving a transmission gear box, and acquires advantages of good low-speed performance, easy control, low maintenance cost and reliable operation, which have become a research focus. The development of drive permanent magnet synchronous wind power generation system is surging in recent years, and the proficiency is in rise by improving the technique and upgrading the system. In order to guide the usage of the same type generators in the future, this essay highlights the application of the wind-driven electricity generator as well as further studies drive permanent magnet synchronous wind power generation system.First of all, summarizing the current status of drive permanent magnet synchronous wind power generation system and introducing the overall application of wind-driven generation.Secondly, a deep analysis on the technician of updating and upgrading of drive permanent magnet synchronous wind power generation system.At last, summarizing the research and providing reasonable suggestions.
