This paper applied the FLUENT fluid calculation software to simulate the flow field in the exhaust hood of steam turbine and condenser throat respectively, and then the optimized renovation scheme is put forward.At the same time, considering the difference between the single simulation and the coupling simulation results, this paper set up the exhaust hood of steam turbine and condenser throat coupling model and simulate the internal flow field in it, on this basis, optimize the performance of exhaust steam passage by adding appropriate guiding plates. The results show that, the adjustment of the diffuser linear in exhaust hood can effectively improve the aerodynamic performance of exhaust hood; the small turbine exhaust steam has a significant effect on the flow field structure of the throat, it is necessary to join it in numerically simulate; the exhaust steam passage coupling simulation shows that, regardless of the exhaust passage inlet steam flow is straight flow condition or swirling flow condition, equipped with appropriate guide baffles in the upstream,midstream and downstream of exhaust passage can effectively improve the flow field, but the effect is more obvious under the straight flow condition, and the closer to the upstream, the vapour locking optimization effect is more obvious, while downstream with baffle is more conducive to improve the uniformity of the outlet flow field.
