With the development of the smart grid, the electric power communication network is becoming more and more important in the power system. As the backbone network of electric power communication network, SDH transmission network is carrying a large amount of electric power production and business management. Therefore, its operation directly influences the safety of power system. This issue aiming at SDH transmission network, through the real-time acquisition of SDH network alarm information and implementing the corresponding statistical analysis to monitor performance of network has important value in the engineering application.The paper starts from the present situation of SDH transmission network alarm collection,combining with the analysis of the interface and alarm data, expounds system design principle and the overall design of function structure. System functional structure is divided into four levels: alarm collection layer, alarm processing layer, alarm report storage layer and alarm statistical analysis layer. Alarm collection layer is based on poll and event-driven acquisition methods which uses standard north interface-CORBA interface collect SDH transmission network data; Alarm processing layer will analysis the original alarm information and then transform into a unified alarm data; the alarm information storage layer is mainly realize the unified format alarm information report to the backend server through the event notification’s service channel and then stored the unified alarm information in the alarm database; alarm statistical analysis layer is the system’s user interface which use pie chart, diagram, histogram and other statistical analysis chart the layer realize the alarm analysis function, revealing the operation of the SDH transmission network and the health of the network equipment.It can greatly improve the effectiveness and stability of power system to ensure the safe and stable operation of the whole system.
