Power transmission project energy-saving thermal design is an important part of the work of energy saving. The typical design of power transmission project is the basis of the work of implementing the management state of intensive, the typical substation design unified construction standards, specification, unified equipment to reduce equipment type, easy to focus on the size of the tender, convenient operation and maintenance, reduce the cost of substation construction and operation; adopts modular design, convenient splicing and accelerate the expansion plan, design, review and approval progress, improve work efficiency. But China’s vast area, the gap between the natural conditions in each area is large, how to suit one’s measures to local conditions, do a good job of power transmission and transformation projects energy-saving thermal design is particularly important.This paper mainly through to improve energy efficiency of resource use as the core, to energy-saving, water-saving, land saving, material saving, comprehensive utilization of energy resources and the development of circular economy as the focus, fully considering the characteristics of the cold northern winter, the conservation of energy resources work throughout the 220000 volts transformer substation site selection, design of each link, improve the level of utilization of energy resources, make full use of existing resources, save the power grid investment, through the discussion of the relevant measures on the rational use of energy, improve energy utilization.This paper mainly based on the analysis of local load and variable power transmission characteristics, proposed suits the climate characteristic of the region of high voltage engineering planning and design principles of the comprehensive assessment index; gives energy and water saving, land saving, energy saving, material saving and resources technical measures and construction method to make full use of the actual construction application; the above-mentioned five aspects of the measures of saving and comprehensive cold technique in Chengde power transmission project has received good effect.
