Most auto body parts are manufactured by stamping dies. The quality of automotive stamping parts will affect the whole vehicle quality. Not only the mechanical properties of material but also the optimal process parameters and rational dies structure must be considered during the process of sheet metal stamped. As a result, when the CAE technology is applied in the process of products development for the automobile stamping parts, the process of sheet metal stamped is numerical simulated through the finite element software, the forming defect is effectively forecasted. The quality of products is increased. The cost of products is reduced.In this paper, based on mechanics theory in sheet stamping and numerical simulation theory, the numerical simulation of forming process to the enhanced in the back automobile floor is studied by the nonlinear finite element analysis software Autoform.Firstly, the three-dimensional model of enhanced in the back automobile floor was set up through UG and was imported to Autoform, the numerical simulation of forming process was analyzed, the FLD of product was got. The forming defects were forecasted such as wrinkle, crack, drawing less of product. The reason of defect was analyzed.Secondly, the process parameters, including the blank holder force, the die clearance, the lubrication coefficient, the punching speed, were analyzed in drawing process of products. The reasonable range of each factor was determined through the numerical simulation results by Autoform. The arrange of drawbead was studied, the best layout program of drawbeads was got through adjusting the number, layout and drag coefficient of drawbeads in the simulation.Finally, the combination of optimum parameters and the sequence of the various factors of primary and secondary effects on product quality were determined through optimizing drawing process parameters of products by orthogonal experiment method. The experimentation in which the deep drawing dies was manufactured on the basis of the optimized process parameters and process requirements of product was made. The deep drawing die was put in manufacture, and qualified products were got.By the application of automotive stamping simulation technology, the time of adjusting dies was shortened, the cost of products was reduced, and the defect of wrinkling, cracks, surface quality and thinning in the forming process of sheet metal were successfully predicted. The quality of products was increased, and the market competitiveness of products was strengthened.
