| Reconsolidated bamboo is a bamboo fiber composite material. It is a reconsolidated bamboo material and an excellent substitute for wood that can reduce forest harvesting, so it is environmental and low-carbon. Reconsolidated bamboo is an attractive new material, and it has good mechanical properties so that it is applicated widely. Creep behavior is an important indicator of mechanical properties. When reconsolidated bamboo is used as a building board, the long-term excessive creep can occur so that the eventual destruction. Therefore, It is important significance for researching creep properties of reconsolidated bamboo used in the fields of building structures in order to provide stress in engineering design. This paper introduces experiments of tensile and compressive mechanical properties and theoretical analysis to study the physical and mechanical properties, calculation methods and material strength design specifications, and comparing reconsolidated bamboo with the other three laminated wood materials. It is important to provide a scientific basis for reconsolidated bamboo which is rational used in civil engineering legitimately. Creep test is the basis of bamboo mechanical test. Test is divided into two groups which included the tensile and compressive creep test at Harbin indoor environment. Compressive stress levels take reconsolidated bamboo average compressive strength of 10%,20% and 40%, tensile stress levels take reconsolidated bamboo average tensile strength of 15%,30% and 45%, its observing the test of time is 210 days, and then analyzing by short-term (30 days) changes in tensile creep behavior tests. It accumulated firsthand data which developed own creep testing device, including specimen deformation and time and the test load. For more deep analysis of the creep properties of reconsolidated bamboo, Test used the Burgers Model and Findley equation model respectively to fit so that determine the reconsolidated bamboo creep constitutive model and discuss the variation of the correlation coefficient on Burgers model. The results show that Burgers model and Findley equation model are fitting well, and Findley model is more agreed with actual test conditions. Instantaneous elastic deformation and elastic delayed deformation increases as the stress level. Tensile short-term creep behavior of reconsolidated bamboo can predict long-term creep test. |
