Thermoacoustic engine is a kind of new mechanical heat machine completely different from conventional power devices, which depends on the self-excited of gases to output acoustic powers. Beyond that, it also equips with parts without any mechanical movement. At the same time, it utilizes the low-grade power drives and owns the advantage of adopting the inert gases without any pollution on the environment as the working medium, which is a kind of new power device with extremely high values and potentials.At present, the value simulated calculation of thermoacoustic engine has received more and more attention in the thermoacoustic engine research development. With the simulated calculation on the thermoacoustic system, it obtains thermodynamic characteristics in the certain error range, which will provide effective assistance to the research on the experimental system of thermoacoustic engine.This paper emphatically introduces the prospects of thermoacoustic engine and numerical simulation of thermoacoustic engine,it utilizes finite element method to make the value simulated calculation on the experiment system of a set of standing-wave thermoacoustic engine, regards linear thermoacoustic theory as the mathematical model of this simulated calculation, adopts the operating working condition identical to the experiment system as the physical model. At the same time,it adopts weighted residual method of finite element method to solve the above described mathematical model and establishes value simulated calculation block diagram in accordance with the algorithm of the whole system and makes the simulated calculation based on this block diagram. By independently compiling calculating programs, it designs a set of more complete simulated calculation program of thermoacoustic system. In the end, in accordance with the results of value simulated calculations, it observes the acoustic field, characteristics of the flow field in the actual standing-wave thermoacoustic engine system and the effects of each part inside the engine on the thermoacoustic system and puts forward optimizing solutions on the structural design of the engine in accordance with calculating results.The paper finally introduces the limitations of linear thermoacoustic theory and the current developing situation of non-linear thermoacoustic theory. At the same time,it establishes the non-linear thermoacoustic theory model on the basis of linear thermoacoustic theory and discusses the possibilities of solutions by adopting finite element method.
