Earthquake is the crisis of the people’s life and property of sudden natural disasters, the economic losses and casualties and the mind injury of human is very heavy, especially in today’s era of rapid economic development, rapid development of urbanization, population and material financial concentration, the modern earthquake losses will be more big. Experience in a large number of earthquake damage show that silt liquefied instability under dynamic load is a very important factor in seismic ground damage.Silt is a kind of transitional soil, between sand and clay. Including three particle --sand, silt and clay. Clay and silt are collectively referred to as fine. Silt engineering properties is different from that of cohesive soil and sandy soil, with unique properties. This text based on the practical engineering with silt foundation in YangZhou, into the dynamic triaxial test, the static triaxial test research, to compare the indoor test results with the results of standard penetration test. The main contents are:(1)Do dynamic triaxial consolidation undrained tests by DDS-70 microcomputer control magnetic vibration triaxial apparatus machine, get the relationship between the dynamic shear strength and failure time of vibration and the related curves, the results show that the same soil exert confining pressure, the greater the dynamic shear stress values, namely, the stronger the liquefaction resistance of the soil sample, therefore the greater increase of confining pressure can increased the strength of the liquefaction of saturated silt.(2)Do static triaxial consolidation test through the strain controlled static triaxial apparatus machine, get relevant damage curve and comparative analysis of silt liquefaction strength under static load, the results show that with the increase of confining pressure increase the peak value of axial stress when the soil damage also increase, namely, the shear strength of saturated silt increases with the increase of confining pressure, and compression modulus increase, too.(3) Compare the dynamic triaxial test results, the static triaxial test results with standard penetration test result and analysis, find out the relationship of indoor experiment and field test results for determining silt liquefaction strength change regularity, the results show that the dynamic triaxial test, the static triaxial test can reflect the same liquefaction resistance of soil mass under different confining pressure; Dynamic triaxial test can better reflect the liquefaction resistance between different soil; Dynamic triaxial test results consistent with the standard penetration test results.
