Iron Mine tailings self-compacting concrete (Iron Mine Tailings Self-Compacting Concrete, referred to as ISCC) is the new concrete material in which iron mine tailings is replaced or partly replaced with natural sand in the ordinary type of self-compacting concrete (Self-Compacting Concrete, referred to as SCC). The natural sand replaced or partly replaced by iron mine tailings can not only consume a lot of industrial waste and save a lot of resources and manpower, but also it can more or less reduce the shortage problem of natural sand resources in the field of construction projects.The social, economic and ecological benefits can be also brought.At present, in our country, middle-and-low strength concrete below C50 are used accounts for more than half of the total concrete in the field of construction projects. Now the main research of self compacting concrete is still concentrated on the C40 at home and abroad. However, the study of low strength self-compacting concrete is less and it has not formed the theoretical system. Thus, middle-and-low strength self-compacting concrete adaptation, various properties of the concrete mixing and flow performance of research remaining was researched in this paper.On the basis of relevant norms and rules in the country, firstly the common type of good performance of self compacting concrete mix ratio of SCC is obtained through the mix design, and then added a amount of iron mine tailings in SCC, through adapting and adjusting constantly, better performance ISCC mix was obtained. Based on this, the orthogonal test with five factors and four levels of a large number of measurements were carried on. The mixture slump flow and 28d compressive strength was measured and range analysis was conducted, trying to analyze influence degree of the water binder ratio, iron tailings to replace rate, fly ash replacement rate, the amount of admixture and sand ratio of these five factors on ISCC mixture material flow properties and compressive strength of 28d, and tring to find out some changes in the law from it and analyze its reason.For general commercial concrete, it needs about two to three hours from the complete concrete mixing to transport and casting. We also carried out a ISCC mixture of research about the remaining of flow performance within three hours. Besides, in this research only one parameters of mix proportion was changed and that is substitution rate of iron tailings. The relation curve of ISCC mixture flow performance changing with time under the condition of substitution rate of iron tailings are trying to be found.
