In recent years, under the background of global energy generally inadequate, reducing energy consumption is an issue to all the countries in the world. Air conditioning energy consumption is dominant in energy consumption. Air conditioning system is connected with our lives, but the cold heat source energy occupies the first place at a ratio of 2/3.Therefore,in the increasingly serious energy crisis situation, improving or replacing conventional hot and cold source, reducing air conditioning heat source energy consumption and improving energy efficiency in air conditioning system is significance.Ground source heat pump system use the soil of renewable energy as a heat source of an air conditioning system, to replace conventional air-cooled heat pump system. Energy-saving effection is remarkable. However, there are still many problems in the design process of ground source heat pump system, especially in the process of determining the soil thermal parameters. In order to save costs, the soil thermal parameters are often gotten from the reference of the surrounding built project or experience in the actual project. It leads to a big error in ground source heat pump system’s design, resulting in increased investment or system design system can not achieve a long operational requirements.Soil thermal response test as an important means of obtaining soil thermal parameters is widely used in the current large-scale ground source heat pump project. In this paper, based on a ground source heat pump project in a Jiangxi moving production base, the thermal response of geotechnical problems in the experiment, the method employed, steps to test the system is elaborated. In connection with geotechnical thermal response test for specific projects, the resulting findings are as follows:(1)Construction of the thermal response test drilling soil samples collected at the same time the formation, by sampling and analysis, site geological conditions mainly red sandstone and clay, mixed with a small amount of quartz. A high degree of weathering red sandstone, drilling smooth, easy construction. The geological conditions suitable for the use of ground source heat pump system.( 2) Soil initial temperature is 18.97℃,closing to the average annual temperature in Nanchang. This temperature can be the geotechnical temperature’s reference in the surrounding area or other areas of Nanchang. This temperature is favorable for heat pump system getting heat from the soil in winter and wasting heat to soil in summer.(3)Measured from thermal response test, the average thermal conductivity of soil λ is 2.235(W(m ? Κ)?). Compared to similar situation in other parts of geology, the soil thermal conductivity is high, suitable for the using of ground source heat pump systems.(4)According to ground heat exchanger running for 25 years heat balance calculations. With the increase of underground pipe running time, underground heat exchanger mean temperature change import and export has stabilized. It indicates that underground pipes have good balance of hot and cold, Under ground pipe can be a good long run, the project uses ground source heat pump system is feasible.
