Zinc Oxide arrester has excellent advantages of nonlinear and On the Electric power systems, Zinc Oxide arrester widely used in over a wide range of voltage transmission and transformation equipment. Zinc Oxide arrester in good health can be a good protection of the normal operation of transmission and transformation equipment. Appears in contradiction,the aging and valve of Zinc Oxide arrester not only fails to protect the equipment running, but also which will effecting the security and stability of the system. At the scene, people usually use a more flexible mode of live test, used to shorten test cycles and improve test efficiency, to make up for lack of outage test. Especially for 750kV equipment,it has high voltage level, complex electromagnetic environment, interference is strong. In live testing process, the impact of Zinc Oxide arrester by the external interference is much more serious than the low voltage level. Sometimes, it can not accurately measure the leakage current of the resistive component.it can not reflect the true performance of the arrester. In this paper, the authors based on high-voltage theory, the factors affecting the live test results were analyzed. For 750kV Zinc Oxide arrester live test case in the region, the authors analyse the rationality, who advance to improve voltage signal acquisition mode and signal transmission. The authors advance Using direct screen access to ground or voltage signal from the sensor end-plate capacitor voltage transformer for improving security testing process. Using Radio frequency signal to reduce signal distortion and strong electromagnetic interference in transmission. The authors can by the mode improve the accuracy and efficiency of the testing process to test the safety of the test. Comprehensive analysis of scientific data to facilitate timely and accurate discovery 750kV Zinc Oxide arrester internal defects.
