Focusing on the current developments of electricity markets in various countries and summarize the experience in the process of evolution is significant benefit to research the further reform orientation of the electricity power markets in china. In recent months, a brewing electric system reform scheme is evidence of a series of upcoming developments in china’s electricity power industry. A reasonable pricing mechanism under market conditions is one of the important issue during the reform course, and how electricity price play a positive role in future is highly anticipated.Electricity price, as a baton for instructing market behavior, has become one of the research hot spots, meanwhile the study of electricity price has received widespread attention. In this paper, we reviewed the presentation and evolution of electricity pricing mechanism, it’s clearly that electricity power flow analysis is an important approach to research spot price, especially the Optimal Power Flow(OPF).Along with the mathematical model and computing method constantly development, the OPF has been backed up with strict mathematics basis over time, and it is also one of the most cogent methods for solving great-scale power system optimization computation. It’s economic significance of mathematical models make OPF a potent tool in studying electricity pricing, what is more, various algorithms regard interior point algorithm theory as main calculation idea has been widely applied and fruitful research results.In this thesis, the theory of Primal-Dual Interior Point Method (PDIPM) was presented and the PDIPM was deduced in mathematics, furthermore the contain meaning of each parameter was introduced. On the basis of PDIPM, the predictor-corrector strategy was introduced and then proposed Predictor-Corrector Primal-Dual Interior Point Method (PCPDIPM).The convergence and computing speed of PDIPM should be effective improved by the predictor-corrector strategy theoretically. Through research in economy connotation of Lagrange multipliers in the OPF revealed that the multipliers are equivalent to the micro-increment rate of injected power at each node, which can reflect the supply and demand of power sources in electricity markets, so that applying the OPF to the study of spot price has economic basis. On the basis of the previous text, The PCPDIPM was used to calculate the spot price, and then computation steps of solving the OPF problem was elaborated and those important formulas and matrices was deduced, which would be necessarily used in the process of computation and programming.At the last part of this thesis, according to the previous study, the programming steps was explained in detail and provided the algorithm flow diagram. Finally the approach previous proposed was successfully tested on the IEEE9, IEEE30, IEEE118 node systems. The simulation results revealed that the PCPDIPM is a reliable and effective algorithm for OPF. Compared with the PDIPM, the results indicated that the introduction of predictor-corrector method considerably reduce the number of iterations and time required to find the optimal solution by PCPDIPM. The proposed PCPDIPM is suitable for power flow calculation of large-scale power systems and has on-line calculation potential.
