In recent years, with the development of China’s economy, especially in the power, chemical, metallurgy and other basic industries, there is an intense demand for highway large-scale transportation. Among those projects, the transportation objects are usually high value、high precision、large volume、complex shape, un-dismantled and over-weighted. Whether these cargoes can be delivered safely or not relates to the development of national economy and progress of projects even the security of people’s life and property and social stability. Therefore, how to reduce the risk of highway large-scale transportation becomes crucial, thus making research of highway large-scale transportation a practical and meaningful topic.Based on studying numbers of papers and documents about highway large-scale transportation and risk analysis.we combine the data of highway large-scale transportation accidents and analyze it. Providing theoretically and technical reference.Firstly, research status of highway large-scale transportation and methods of risk analyze were introduced. Secondly, we studied and analyzed the data of large-scale transportation accidents and its cause. Next, Bow-tie model was introduced to analyze typical accidents and set barrier. Then analyze emergency and recovery measures after the accident. Finally, we took a highway large-scale transportation company for example, analyzed its accidents based on Bow-tie model, set up prevention and control measures, providing theoretically reference and practical guidance for security transport.
