With the development of economy and society,bridges have been applied to more and more areas.In order to adapt to the mountain areas with rugged terrain and some rivers which need consider navigation,unsymmetrical continuous rigid frame bridges with unsymmetrical longitudinal spans or piers having height differences are usually selected.Compared to other bridge types, It is taken advantage of unsymmetrical continuous rigid frame bridge own characteristics.Through combining environment,It can effectively reduce the cost or difficulty of the project.However, due to the unsymmetrical continuous rigid frame bridge’s unsymmetrical characteristics, under the influence of various external effects, it will be produced unsymmetrical internal forces and deformations, it is necessary to study the law of internal forces and deformations.Based on project of Yijiang river this paper use the finite element program to calculate the internal forces and deformations of unsymmetrical continuous rigid frame bridges.Specific results as follows.First,using the finite element software Midas Civil for the unsymmetrical continuous rigid frame bridge with unsymmetrical longitudinal spans,by changing the pier’s height of only one side or both sides,and keeping other parameters,it can get the law of internal forces and deformations under the influence of concrete’s shrinkage and creep and temperature’s change. Second,using the finite element software Midas Civil for the unsymmetrical continuous rigid frame bridge with unsymmetrical longitudinal spans,by changing the pier’s height of only one side or both sides,and keeping other parameters,it can get the law of Dynamic characteristics.Third,Using the finite element software Midas Civil for the unsymmetrical continuous rigid frame bridge with unsymmetrical longitudinal spans,by changing the pier’s height of only one side or both sides,and keeping other parameters,it can get the law of internal forces and deformations under the influence of earthquake.It can provide some references for the unsymmetrical continuous rigid frame bridge design in the future.
