The rapid development of science and technology today, electronic and automation technology becomes more advanced, led the country’s booming economy. In this environment, Chinese electric power system is also reforming the old system and the introduction of new technologies. Power system has been implemented three of the five operating mode. Along with centralized controlling of the entire grid, many substations have become unmanned substations so that for power system the substations can save manpower and improve our economy and stability of the grid.This article describes the history of development of electric power,based on the status quo of China’s power grid hasing a low voltage problem and only new technology is applicated in order to improve the low voltage situation of Chinese electric power system. The principle of some voltage electricity basics is introduced, such as voltage deviation, voltage drop and other systems. The power flow calculation by the method can be predicted in advance to the power system voltage and the voltage is low to fundamentally solve the situation to firstly improve the power system management, increasing grid investment and improving the quality of network equipment. Now, there are two mode of power system voltage, such as using reactive power compensation device to adjust the voltage transformer tap and using it to adjust the voltage. Although there are certain advantages, there are some shortcomings.According to the actual situation of Anshan grid and the grid load characteristics Anshan, using SVC device makes Anshan system voltage stable. Harmonic suppression has played a significant role, but also it promotes the development of Anshan grid to economic efficiency. Along with economic development and technological progress, new technologies need to improve the quality of the grid voltage, the introduction of AVC Anshan grid technology, introducing the principle of AVC technology, controlling technology, and the application of Anshan grid. In the Anshan grid, AVC is applied to improve grid voltage levels, reduce the system losses and the regulatory staff workload, avoid some accidents and misuse, and achieve the automatic voltage control.The AVC can make the grid more secure and stable, improving economic eligibility of the Anshan grid.
