China’s economy is in a stage of rapid development, at the same time, in our country, the energy consumption ranks among the top of the world and CO2 emissions is the world’s first. Coal-fired power plant is the biggest source of CO2 emissions. So, reducing CO2 emissions in the power plant is the key to energy conservation and emissions reduction. Oxy-combustion technology as a kind of clean coal combustion technology, has been widely researched in recent years. Oxy-combustion technology has no difference with the conventional pulverized coal fired boiler, except the addition of the air separation unit and flue gas treatment and compression unit.Whether it is the transformation of existing power plants, or the establishment of a new oxygen-rich coal combustion power plant, such studies posses both feasibility and commercial value. Overall operating characteristic of Oxy-coal fired boiler units has close correlation with the safe operation and system control in a power plant, and it is also one of the most concerned issues to power plant. Flue gas treatment and compression unit is the most important part of the CO2 recovery system. Therefore, studies on flue gas treatment and compression unit have an important significance for safe and economic operation of the whole boiler unit.Taking a 300 MW oxy-fuel fired boiler unit as an objection of study, and establish the mathematical model of the main equipment, such as the compressor and flue gas intercooler, with GenSystem as the research tools. The mathematical model is processed into a standard simulation algorithm after programmed by Fortran language and standardized into a common algorithm module. Then, the flue gas compressor and other subsystems are integrated into the overall simulation model of 300 MW Oxy-coal fired boiler unit. The paper verifies the accuracy of the established equipment by the simulation results and studies the impact on dynamic characteristics of Oxy-coal fired boiler unit, which is brought by flue gas compression unit. The conclusion provides reference for the control, safe and economic operation of the Oxy-coal fired boiler unit.
