A Study On Route Adjustment Scheme Of Dayao Bay Waters

Dalian Port is one of the major coastal ports and important hubs for national integrated transport system. According to "Official Reply of the overall planning of Dalian Port" (Traffic planning released [2008] No.171) from the Ministry of Transport and Liaoning Provincial People’s Government, Dalian Port will be built into a variety of functions for a modern, multi-functional, integrated port. As one of the four famous deep-water harbors, Dayao Bay is the core port of the international shipping center in Northeast Asia in the future. According to the Dalian Port Group’s strategic development plan, Dayaowan Port should take the container transportation as the core, correspondingly develop the commercial vehicle transportation, and will be built into an international container port, commercial vehicle transshipment center, the Northeast regional logistics center, the main international hub port which takes the international shipping business transportation as the core. With the further implementation of the plan, some adjustments will be made surrounding the Dayao Bay port waters, which will affect the navigation environment. In order to insure the safety of ship navigation, it is necessary to re-plan routes in the Dayao Bay port.On the basis of analysing the location, meteorology, hydrology, port environment, state of the traffic environment of Dayao Bay waters, do research into the construction plan of Dayao Bay waters and Cross-sea traffic engineering construction plan of Dalian Bay, and analysis the impact of the construction planning on traffic environment. Based on "total graphic design specifications in the harbor" and survey results, calculate the indicators which the route layout needs to meet, and accordingly proposes three route layout adjustment programs in the Dayao Bay waters. Through preliminary analysis, two programs are held on the basis of considering the cost and feasibility. Finally, the feasibility test of the two programs is carried out and the best program is determined which provides evidence for the Dayao Bay port built into an international container port, commercial vehicle transshipment center, the Northeast regional logistics center, and has some practical value.
