The self-centering structure uses prestressed steel stain to provide the centering ability And the steel plate shear wall cannot only be used as later loads resisting component, but also be energy damper. So the self-centering steel plate shear wall(SC-SPSW) is a new seismic load-resisting system that combines the energy dissipation capacity and lateral stiffness properties of the SPSW with the recentering capabilities of posttensioned(PT) beam-to-column connections. In this dissertation, the main research work is as follows:(1) The ways of the steel plate shear wall is simplified to strips and design of posttensioned connections is introduced in details. And the finite element analysis software OpenSees is used to create the analytical model of the self-centering steel plate shear wall(SC-SPSW) structure, and the correctness of modeling is evaluated by comparing with the existing experiment results.(2) The influence of different lateral load patterns on structure performance is analyzed, And the structure performance under Inverted triangle load pattern accords with under the actual earthquake is confirmed. Nonlinear analysis were performed for the structure under cyclic loading, The influence of the thickness of SPSW、the location of steel strain and the pre-tension value of steel strain on structure seismic performance is analyzed.(3) Based on the select the strong ground motion by two frequency, fitting 25 steams of ground motions for the design response spectrum, and selecting 3 better steams of ground motions. The seismic performance of the SC-SPSW structure is analyzed by utilizing dynamic nonlinear analysis method. The analysis result shows that the structure has a good centering performance and energy dissipation capacity; The thinner the steel plate is, the better centering ability the structure gets. The lower the pre-tension value of steel strain, the better energy dissipation capacity the structure gets under the same ground motion; Different yield strength of SPSW should be used under the different seismic hazard levels.
