In the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan", it is pointed out that China needs to vigorously develop marine economy, which is also called blue economy. With the development of marine economy, the application of the USV is becoming more and more popular.In foreign countries,the technology of USV develops earlier than China.Now the applications of USV have been extended to ocean exploration, environmental parameter collection, sea patrol and meteorology and so on.In the design of the USV, we take advantage of the concept of modular design, each modular with specific functional is designed each other,so they can be work independently with each other.The main control system of lower computer of USV based on S3C2440 microprocessor. The drive control center is based on STM32F103VCT6 microprocessor, it used in the control of equipment and information collection. The USV carried GPS module and GPRS module. GPS module used for playback of the navigation path.This function can be done by comparing the location of the USV with electronic map.The communication and data transmission between USV and control center of upper computer by the GPRS module. In the design of USV, ultrasonic sensor and temperature humidity sensors are used.Ultrasound module measures of the distance to avoid the obstacle, temperature humidity sensor detected the temperature and humidity of the area, show data in the upper monitor. In the market mostly wireless telecommunication equipment is based on 2.4GHz, when several communication equipment with 2.4GHz working together may cause the disturbance of communication signal, in the paper we use wireless bridge communication with 5.8GHz, it can meet the needs of the video communication.They are some advantages,such as less disturbance and 300M transmission bandwidth. The USV carried high definition monitoring system, that can realize the sea patrol.The USV in the paper is a basic type of unmanned surface vehicles, it can be combined with remotely operated vehicle systems that we study.We can take USV and ROV as carriers, the carrier can be equipped with intelligent robots, HD underwater cameras, light systems and microscopes and other equipment, it can be engaged in a variety of important research study,such as water quality sampling, image processing, non-uniform light field underwater and microorganisms study and so on..
