Bionic polarized light navigation is an autonomous navigation method based on the earth’s natural attributes. Features such as good concealment and strong anti-interference capacity make it an important complement of modern navigation technology. In this thesis, for the research requirement of bionic polarized light navigation, one octal-rotor UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) flight control and measure platform is designed and two polarized light navigation sensors suitable for UAV are successfully implemented. Then we built a bionic polarized light navigation UAV measurement and control system prototype and do some experimental researches.The main contents are included as follows:(1) Around the needs such as atmospheric polarization pattern measurement, polarized light navigation and integrated navigation experiment, one octal-rotor UAV platform has been designed. Its integration with navigation function such as polarized light, GPS, geomagnetism and INS makes the UAV flight control and measure platform with load possible;(2) Referring to the requirement for bionic polarized light navigation sensor by UAV platform, a miniaturization, lightweight and highly integrated independent-channel polarized light navigation sensor suit for UAV is realized. Compared with the sensors based POL-neuron model, it reduces the impacts on sensor accuracy by signal gain difference between channels and analyzer array relative angle error;(3) Referring to the existing polarized imaging sensor hard to meet the requirement of UAV in some ways such as size and weight, we realize a miniaturization and lightweight full sky polarized imaging navigation sensor with about 180 degree viewing angle. It can be installed on the UAV and measure full sky atmospheric polarization pattern. And from the atmospheric polarization pattern, we can obtain the navigation information;(4) Measurement and flight control experimental of UAV platform and atmospheric polarization pattern measurement and navigation experimental are carried out. The experimental results show that the bionic polarized light navigation UAV measurement and control system prototype has good performance and achieve the desired results. It can be an UAV load platform for the research of bionic polarized light navigation.
