The ideas of smart home and home automation have been proposed for many years.However,when discussing homes of the future, related studies have usually focused on deploying various smart appliances(or devices) within a home environment and employing those appliances automatically by pre-definded procedures.The current various of points and technical approaches have been proposed mostly focus on the smart management and controlment of smart home devices using internet of things technology,interoperability between smart home equipment and devices,etc.However, regardless of the user-configurable of automation system.So based on this problem, this paper proposes a solution of the semantic home automation system U3S(User-configurable semantic smart-home system) base on the semantic web.The difficulties of supporting user-configurable automation are due to the complexity of various dynamic home environments.Moreover,within their home domains, users are usually think semantically;for example,”I want to turn off all the lights on the second floor”.This paper proposes a solution to solve the complexity of home environments and the problem of thinking semantically-----home ontology and SHPL(Semantic Home Process Language).The U3 S adopts OWL and OWL-S for defining home environments and service ontology;and self-defined markup language based on XML, SHPL, for describing semantic processes.This paper proposes the U3 S system for providing the configuration of business process and specific home environment. And the conceptual stack of U3 S has been proposed, the duties of each level has been introduced.Then this paper give the system structure base on the conceptual stack and introduce the function and implementation of each module.Finally,U3 S is compared with other related home automation systems, and analysis of the limit of U3 S.Next,considering the possibility of the massive semantic data in the future,the feasibility of semantic data cloud storage are analyzed.
