With the continuous improvement of operational safety requirements of city subway station, platform screen door(PSD) almost became a standard feature of metro construction. The study on PSD was also gradually changed from its original intention of protection for passengers’ safety to the effect of subway station’s ventilation conditions, especially to the effect of fire. Currently, existing research was based on a particular height of PSD, explored its influence on the flue gas, didn’t compare the effect of different heights. In addition, study about the effect of PSD open mode for a new subway station central smoke extraction just begun. Therefore, in order to improve the efficiency of smoke extraction under the existing subway station ventilation mode, control the fire well, make the fire spread to lesser extent, increase the available safe escape time, deep and systematic study for the height and open mode of PSD was theoretical and practical significance.First of all, the paper selected the impact and evaluation index of subway station fire and determined ventilation of different conditions, secondly, under the appropriate ventilation mode, simulated the impact of different-height PSD for subway station fire, determined the effect of different heights on the merits of fire control according to the analysis results of impact and evaluation index, obtained the optimal PSD height, again, on the base of optimal height, simulated the effect of different open modes for subway station fire, obtained the optimal PSD open mode which could make the smoke extraction be best, according to the analysis and comparison of simulation results. Finally, verified the optimal PSD height and open mode through lager fire power condition, proved the reliability of conclusions.The research showed, under appropriate ventilation mode, full height PSD had the maximum efficiency and controlled the subway station fire best. For the subway line area, the half-height PSD with a height of more than 1.4m could achieve the effect of full height PSD for the fire control. Open mode of 4 doors could achieve the best central smoke extraction effect. The number of stairs of mall-sized subway interchange station could be approximately reduced to four.
