The automation and complexity of ship leads to increase failure probability of sensor and actuator units in ship propulsion system. At present, SPSB(Ship Propulsion System Benchmarks) is an open system simulation test platform of fault diagnosis and fault-tolerant control of ship propulsion. Series of research results based on SPSB has been widely used in practical engineering systems, and extends to other control field. This paper based on the SPSB test platform, combines linear/nonlinear multi index constraint fault diagnosis observer design method and uses LMI,T-SS fuzzy model and sliding model control method for PS(Propulsion System) fault detection and fault tolerant control research.First of all, based on the SPSB test platform, this paper gets the mathematical model(such as: the ship controllable pitch propeller control system, speed control system, diesel engine speed control system) of propulsion system, and deduction of the overall nonlinear mathematical model of ship propulsion system; Summarizes of the sensor / actuator fault hip propulsion system and gives the corresponding mathematical expressions, and the PS fault diagnosis and fault tolerant control of the analytical model also is given.Secondly, according to constant bias fault in the adjustable pitch propeller hydraulic leakage, this paper gives the LTI system with diagnosis observer design method of pole index, the covariance index, robust performance and fault sensitivity constraints. Using LMI method, analyzes the compatibility issues with other indicators of the sensitivity index, and steps of the fault estimation.Thirdly, establishment of a ship propulsion control system T-S fuzzy model, combination with the satisfactory control theory, through the fuzzy and defuzzification, the system divided into multiple subsystem of the ship propulsion, for each local subsystem in the actuator constant bias fault, the fault diagnosis observer design method with pole index, robust performance index and sensitivity constraints. The simulation model is established by using the Simulink toolbox, verifying the correctness and validity of observer based fault diagnosis with multi indices constraints of ship propulsion system for the PS control, fault detection and fault tolerant control provides for new research basis.Finally, this paper uses the theory of sliding model control research on fault tolerant control in ship propulsion system. Through the design of a sliding model observer group, they can detect and isolate multiple sensor faults. By constructing the augmented system model, we change the sensor fault into "actuator" fault, and use the equivalent output error to reconstruction and estimation of sensor fault. The simulation results shows that the sliding model observer design can accurately estimate the actual value of the fault and diagnose the sensor faults of the channel.
