With the wide application of power electronic devices, which bring a variety of convenient, but also the power quality problems, as a good improve equipment on power quality.Active power filter has been widely used, but the domestic research and development is still in its primary stage,there are still many problems need to be solved.This article discusses and analysis some key problems of active power filter. The T type three-level topology was proposed, as well as the simulation analysis. A two level active power filter prototype is finished,which is the foundation for later three level study.In the first chapter in the current harmonic and harmonic sources, and the active filter were introduced. The second chapter discusses two kinds of topological structure of the active filter(two level and three level), and provides the simulation waveform. Third chapter contrasts two harmonic current detecting methods are discussed(PQ) algorithm and IPIQ algorithm,the fourth chapter discusses the generation of PWM, including hysteresis comparison and triangular wave comparison. and digital PWM and analog PWM generation. the fifth chapter describes the 33 kva shunt active filter performance and the related problems in test of prototype. The experimental prototype make a good harmonic compensation, it is also a good foundation for the next three level function.
