Spiral bevel gear as the driving parts are widely used in aircraft, ships, precision machine tools, engineering machinery and vehicles, they always work in high speed,heavy load condition, the mesh is a multiple nonlinear problems by coupling process, the dynamic meshing performance of the paper on the spiral bevel gear has the very important influence the dynamic meshing performance of the whole machine service life,the work noise and even the safety performance, the main work as follows:Firstly, the spherical involutes formation theory of the spiral bevel gear is analyzed,and deduces spherical involutes equation. Using the VB software programming, and compute each size of model. The three-dimensional parametric model is created in the Pro/ E software, and makes virtual assembly, motion simulation in the virtual assembly system, then testing whether there is interference.Secondly, through the modern finite element simulation technology, spiral bevel gear is studied. The application of the Hyper- Mesh software is used to mesh, to solve the model root fillet mesh accurately partition problem, to ensure the accuracy of the results of finite element analysis. Importing the model to ANSYS software do the analyze,and get the stress variation law of tooth root and tooth top of driven wheel, auxiliary wheel in dynamic meshing cycle, which is the tooth contact area and effective stress variation law at different rotational speed.Finally, the small gear is taken as an example to do the modal analysis, and obtaining the first ten natural frequencies and formations. Analyses about the two parameters(helix angle and pressure angle) cause the change of modal characteristics of the spiral bevel gear are searched. Then the high-speed rotating modal analysis is made,the conclusion of the centrifugal stiffening causes deformation and lead to the change pattern of the gear modal characteristics is obtained.
