| Pulse detonation engine(PDE) is the new type of power plant.How to short the slow-burning to detonation transition(DDT) process is a key technology.Its main ignition ways are the spark plug, nanosecond pulse discharge, low temperature plasma ignition by ac drives which applied to the PDE no relevant reports.To fully understand the low temperature plasma ignition ac drives discharge area influence on ignition initiating, propane for fuel, air and pure oxygen as oxidant.Chemical reaction kinetics of the detailed mechanism, using the Fluent software, will be equivalent to high temperature and high pressure gas fire nuclear discharge area, carried out the following work:1ã€To simulate the different discharge zone length structure ignition initiating.The results show that the discharge area equivalent to high temperature and high pressure fire nuclear is feasible, can get complete ignition initiating process; the initial flame development fast, DDT time significantly shortened, detonation wave peak pressure basically remain unchanged.2ã€For different low voltage electrode hole number and aperture structure of ignition initiating simulation.Results show that the hole number, large aperture, the initial gas fire nuclear pressure and temperature drop quickly, small volume, the initial flame development slow, DDT time greatly increased;PDE for the work of multi cycle, need to set reasonable low voltage electrode hole number and aperture, in order to obtain good ignition initiating properties.3ã€Structure of different gas fire nuclear pressure ignition initiating simulation.Results show that:overall, discharge pressure, the initial flame development quick, DDT distance increased, DDT time greatly shortened;Between the atmospheric pressure to 0.2 MPa, the high temperature initial flame development degree, DDT distance and time increase with the decrease of the first;Numerical simulation, the discharge area fire near nuclear pressure of 0.1 MPa is closer to real results.In this paper, the low temperature plasma ignition is applied to ac drives are used for numerical simulation of the ignition initiating.Studied the discharge zone length, the electrode hole, gas fire nuclear pressure influence on ignition initiating process, has a certain reference value. |
