In order to meet the requirements of modernization and automation of the Army, the 6×6 off-road vehicle will use AMT technology to upgrade the existed power system.AMT technology is relatively mature than AT technology in domestic, but the electric-hydraulic AMT which should have price advantage is difficult to control the product cost because of the less batch, so this impacts on the popularity of the application of AMT technology.therefore, the demand for reducing the product cost of AMT has been produced.and the requirements for this paper without reduceing the performance of AMT system has been proposed. So this paper main contents include the following:1. The differences in application fields and control technologies of two AMT solutions was comprehensively analyzed, and the 6×6 off-road vehicle adopted the electric-pneumatic AMT system solutions was identified in this paper.2. Based on the software of AMEsim, the simulation for electric-pneumatic actuator AMT system was finished, and then the diameter of cylinder was designed.The influence of solenoid valve aperture and dead volume on the movement process of piston cylinder was analysed to provide strong theoretical support for the control algorithm of system in this paper.3. On the basis of existed test bench system circuit, the system circuit was completed in this paper. To acquire the road slope and body acceleration the acceleration sensor was added to system circuit, and to obtain the vehicle driving direction the output shaft speed sensor was changed into the dual channel hall speed sensor.These will increase the system awareness and provide hardware support for further optimizing of the shift schedule.4. The program of underlying driver and the upper machine program on the basis of existed test bench system program was completed in this paper, and the control algorithm of electric-hydraulic system was transplanted into electric-pneumatic AMT control system on the basis of the system characteristics, and the calibration function was realized through the program of EEPROM emulation on Flash and the debugging program based on CAN communication.5. Finally, with some bench tests and real vehicle tests, the function of each part of the system was tested in this paper, and that the system has considerable performance in most of aspects and even has greater advantages in some ways compared to electro-hydraulic AMT system was verified.
