With the development of economy in China, real estate contributed to the economy increase steadily. Its pillar position still can’t be ignored even though affected by the national policy at the moment. Steel residential building has become one of the directions of our country’s current residential construction progress and multi-storey steel structure residential buildings become more and more popular in engineering circles under the encouragement of the domestic related policy. Most components of a steel structure are prefabricated that it has advantages in high efficiency, lightweight, high quality, recyclable, environmental protection, quick returns and so on so that it is easy to realize residential industrialization and can improve the amount of steel. Without considering the enhancement effect made by a concrete slab on steel beam rigidity in contemporary design specification for steel structure, it is uneconomical for structural design due to bearing capacity glut which results from smaller rigidity that lead the beam section size controlled by deformation. The concrete hollow floor with small spacing steel beam is put forward on the basis of "cassette structure" which proposed by Ma Kejian academician. Considering the interaction between concrete slab and steel beam, the stiffness and bearing capacity of the floor can meet the demands of keeping stability because of clos-spaced steel beam in this steel concrete system. In this paper, studying the enhancement effect made by a concrete slab on steel beam rigidity in the case that building floor made by cast-in-place concrete and clos-spaced steel beam by numerical simulation and make comparison with no slab. This thesis focuses on the following works:(1)The paper has simulated and analyzed the floor system with slab and without slab by using finite element software MSC.MARC(2007r2) which based on the model test. At the same time, the finite element model which can simulate the loading process has been established.(2)Then established corresponding full-scale slab model and no slab model respectively based on the reduced scale of a single span model. Restoring the actual structure of the slab model and no slab model with two span on the basis that the full-scale model matching with the reduced scale model. The force-deformation properties of structures and the contribution carried out by the concrete slab to the structural stiffness in practical engineering are analyzed. The contribution made by the concrete slab to the stiffness of the steel beam in practice was obtained.(3)According to structural mechanics of the chapter four and referring to the toughened effect of concrete structure tension, we can propose a formula for thevertical displacement of the steel beam the cast-in-place concrete floor stab stiffness.Through an example, we can get different sizes of steel beam with or without considering the impact of the concrete plate, so we can derive an economic significance from the consideration of the contribution of the concrete slab to stiffness of the steel beam.
