Lightweight folding ground hipped roof construction is composed of light materials, wind load is usually its control load. And for this kind of construction, there is no national specification, also has no similar studies for reference. So it is very necessary to study the wind pressure characteristics and find reasonable shape of the lightweight folding ground hipped roof construction.This paper mainly uses the method of numerical simulation to study the characteristics of surface wind pressure and wind environment around lightweight folding ground hipped roof construction. Based on the measured data and wind tunnel test results, to select reasonable calculation parameters including modeling, calculation domain selection, meshing and setting boundary condition, as well as the turbulence model and discretization method selection. At the same time by comparing the results of numerical simulation and wind tunnel test field measurement consistency, expounds the feasibility of the numerical simulation method of such low architecture. On this basis, considering 0 °, 45 ° and 90 ° three wind direction angle, this paper has been calculated 24 kinds of working conditions when the floor hipped roof slope angles α and β are parameters, get the characteristics of surface wind pressure, wind environment and wind load shape coefficients which can directly used in structure wind-resistant design. Meanwhile, through the analysis of its surface area average wind pressure coefficients and peak shape coefficients, this paper put forward a reasonable shape slope angle range for this kind of building on the basis of the minimum surface wind effect to the building, which proposed to provide a theoretical basis for its body design.
