Wind turbine is the use of wind power equipment, yaw system is the core part of it. Yaw system allows for the wind turbine can yaw, lock cabin and automatic untwist. Its performance directly affects the power generation efficiency of wind turbine. At this stage, yaw system consists of electric motor drive yaw system and hydraulic motor drive yaw system, they have complex structure, high cost, they all belong to damping yaw and can not be readily yaw, what make them low power generation efficiency. This paper relied on “the new hydraulic yaw system project” of SANY to carry out, and studied a new hydraulic cylinder drive yaw system, which can make up for the deficiencies of the existing system.It provided a better yaw drive solutions for people.First, the paper introduces the current fan yaw drive system, analyzes the advantages and disadvantages, then studies the new hydraulic drive yaw system from several aspects such as overall structure, hydraulic system, control strategy, builds dynamics and kinematic model, use AMESim to simulate to get the law of pressure and speed fluctuation, At last, verify the feasibility of the drive system through the performance test.This paper get that the new hydraulic yaw drive system has advantages such as structure simple, easy to control, low-cost, real-time wind, etc. and it is suitable for low speed high torque conditions of wind turbine yaw system.
