Designed a regulated two stage(R2S) turbocharging system and researched its transient performances using a 6-cylinder turbocharged engine as the research object. Founded and verified the steady and transient performances of the model according to the test result of original engine. Using the simulation model and optimization method, analyzed the equivalent turbine flow area and open degree of bypass valve, and then determined the matching of R2 S system and strategy of bypass valve opening considering the economy and emission. Based on the steady condition open degree of bypass valve, researched the influence of different open strategy on R2 S system transient performances. Researched the closed-loop control algorithm of bypass valve and compared the anti-interference of different control algorithmsBuild the signal acquisition and bypass valve control system of R2 S turbocharging system test bench. Based on the experiment condition, two control strategies which are economic in steady condition and transient in transient condition are made. Combined with control algorithm which is researched by simulation, one new control system of bypass valve in R2 S system is built. Under this control system, bypass valve has ability to judge the condition where the engine working at, and change the control strategy according to the judgment. Finally, this control system can take least fuel consumption in the steady condition under the close loop control, and made the engine have a good transient performance.
