With the development of world economy and the improvement of people’s life level,the public has higher requirement about the quality of drinking water. In recent years, our country constantly develops and designs new water treatment equipment, both variety and equality are showing a growing trend. However, ordinary equipment has far exceeded domestic demand, but high-end equipment has a big gap with that from foreign countries in water treatment industry. So,it is becoming more and more important to research the water treatment equipment which has good water quality, low investment cost, convenience for management and promotion. In the test, round-shaped mesh filter which is made of stainless steel mesh will replace filtration and sedimentation device.The research and analysis of the test device for hydraulic performance includes: roundshaped mesh filter in different mesh will be compared and analysed and best hydraulic parameters of filter will be obtained; result between waterworks and round-shaped mesh filter will be compared and conclusion will be obtained. Compared with round-shaped mesh filter, the two-dimensional mesh filter has these characteristic such as small unit area, low dirty content, not convenient cleaning operation, low flow rate. So it is not easy to extend and application in filtration equipment.The test, on the basis of the two-dimensional mesh filter, puts forward the design method and theory of mesh filter and made a research about the water power capability examination. The main contents are as follows:1) Make a detail design and measure on size and shape of mesh filter to put forward experimental plan, prepare materials and instruments, product equipment;2) Actually run, debug and improve filter.3) Run the round-shaped mesh filter to record and process test date and obtain conclusion.
