Turbine as the indispensable one part of the hydropower station system, has very important research value in water conservancy and hydropower in China. The researchers face the big problem because of the shape of most of the turbine components is very complex. Therefore, this article turbine prototype built with Pro / E software, and VS2005 for the environment parameter-driven system. In this article the turbine parametric drive mainly five aspects need to be solved in the development process of the problem. Frist, according to the characteristics of the turbine, hydraulic turbine overall scheme for the bottom-up(DOWN- UP) and top-down model(TOP DOWN) combined with each other, and realized the establishment of the system overall framework of the turbine. Second, considering the composition of turbine parts number, and some components of the three-dimensional modeling is more complex, chosen specific use classification and organization structure element classification method of approach to the classification of the water turbine institutions, and get the father-son relationship diagram of the hydraulic turbine parts, then put forward the classification system library implementation method of the turbine. All of those, provides theoretical foundation design of the establishment of the database and the menu. Third, combined with water turbine parametric modeling system characteristics of each component in the data, and reference to Access database and SQL_Server database structure characteristics, choose Access databases in the end. With hydraulic turbine of ODBC database access technology to achieve the parametric modeling driving system final visit. Fourth, the design of this system is VS2005 environment. Selecting MFC dialog box technology as parametric drive system dialog box of the turbine technology because of MFC dialog box will easier than the UI dialog box.Fifth, in this paper, we mainly in the turbine spiral casing as example, which based on Pro/E software on the steps of the parametric driving need comprehensive discussed in detail. This includes the study of key dimensions of spiral case, secondary development environment setup(new project, establish library file and determine the project properties), through the establishment of volute for equation set of the original model, establishing the database information, menu design and driven volute parameterized design of the dialog box. And finally realize the parametric driving design of spiral case.
