The license plate is a key identification of vehicle, so it is of great significance to use the vehicle license plate automatic recognition technology in highway toll system, traffic management and control system. In this article, based on digital image processing, the theory of fuzzy recognition, and connecting with the actual application situa tion of the highway, license plate recognition system is constructed for highway tolls and provides the basis to improve the efficiency of license plate recognition of the expressway toll collection and solve practical engineering problems.First, multiple image preprocessing and neural network recognition algorithm to improve the recognition accuracy license plate. Using graying, gray balance, image filtering and other methods the image preprocessing, well eliminate image noise, enhanced vertical texture area, improve the quality of the image.Secondly, the use of computer simulation technology, programming related algorithms for the simulation analysis.
