Development Of The Meridian And Acupoints Detector With Automatic Calibration Function

With the change of the living standard and the environment, health has become the people most concerned about. Demand for medical instruments increases, If developing more and better quality medical instruments can meet the needs of people, especially developing the TCM medical instruments can fill the shortage in the market.Our traditional Chinese medicine has a long history. In recent decades, a large number of domestic and foreign scholars carry out a lot of scientific research on the meridian theory and acquire many achievements. With the development of computer and electronic detection technology, the combination of TCM Meridian Theory and modern science and technology, can promote the development of TCM detection technology, and meet modern medical needs.Based on the meridian theory of TCM, combined with the technology of electric measurement, the design will develop a kind of meridian detector with automatic calibration, remote monitoring and isolated functions. The main contents of this detector include the design of hardware circuit and the development of PC software.The lower computer includes the meridian detection system and the remote monitoring system, who’s hardware circuit are based on PIC16F873 A microcontroller. The meridian detection system collects 24 meridian points information, after signal adjustment and A/D conversion, the data are sent to upper computer to process via serial isolation circuit. The automatic calibration circuit can adjust the reference voltage applied at the acupuncture point. Isolation function effectively protects the hardware circuit and realizes the isolation between the upper computer. Remote monitoring system monitor important parameters of detection system, to observe hardware circuit’s working status in real-time.PC software consists of client, remote monitoring client and server terminal. They are written in C# language in Visual Studio 2010. The client’s main function are the communication with the lower computer, the display of the state of measurement, the processing of data, the management of user information, and the communication with the network. Remote monitoring client manages the monitored instrument, displays the working status and the curve of parameters. Database is designed by Server SQL 2008, it manages the account and user information, measurement data and expert database.The lower computer and upper computer constitute the complete meridian detector. After debugging and test, the instrument achieve the expected target.
