With the exhausting of energy and the sharpening of environment pollution, wind power, as the most popular intermittent forms of energy, is widely used in recent years. Simultaneously, a series of problems occurred as the wind turbines incorporated in grid due to the randomness of wind speed, and close attention is attached to these problems. In this paper, the optimal reactive power model and its algorithm will be introduce. Firstly, the principle and features of wind generating are given, after that, two asynchronous machine circuits are used to modeling wind turbines, followed by its power flow analysis.Secondly, merits and demerits of the traditional algorithm of optimal reactive power dispatch, the principles and steps of genetic algorithm(GA) are given, as the example of artificial intelligence algorithms, and meanwhile we point out that the GA has slow convergence speed and is easily trapped in local optimality. To overcome the disadvantages of GA, the co-evolution algorithm which performs better in convergence is suggested, and its principles and procedures are described in detail. Moreover, the model of chance constrained programming is introduced, and we use it to modeling the optimal reactive power dispatch considering wind generators according to the real engineering background. Then we use the co-evolution algorithm to solve it, and the concrete optimization model, detailed principles and steps in the algorithm are provided. Finally, we use the Modified-IEEE30 bus system and a realistic grid as the study case, considering the participation of wind turbines, and the co-evolution algorithm is taken to solve the he model of chance constrained programming in different confidence level of the objective function and constraints. The results show that the co-evolution algorithm has excel ent convergence, and is suitable to solve complicated stochastic programming.
