With the growing demand of China for transportation, more and more Steel Box Girder Cable-stayed Bridge is being building. The theory of calculation and construction control is developing. The engineering background of this article is Xi-Qiao bridge. Based on the formal model, calculated the construction scheme of cable force and the structural safety. At the same time this article calculated the installation elevation and manufacturing line shape of the steel box girder based on the zero initial displacement method. The main work of this paper is as follow:(1)Summarized the importance of cable-stayed bridge simulation. Summarize the advantages and disadvantages of simulation methods. Choosing the formal method for calculating the construction process of Xi-Qiao bridge.(2) Compared the advantages and disadvantages of two kinds of construction scheme for reaching designed cable force. Based on the formal model, calculated the forces of the main part of Xi-Qiao bridge.(3)Using MIDAS software and with the concept of influence matrix, the paper provides a method to get the influence matrix of cable force. Though iterative calculation get the cable force needed in the cable force adjustment stage. At last, compared the results of calculated cable force with reality cable force. The result shows the method is reliable.(4)Introduced the zero initial displacement method and tangent initial displacement method. Based on the zero initial method calculated the installation elevation of steel box girders. At same time calculated the manufacturing line shape of the girders for Xi-Qiao bridge.(5)Introduced the theory for calculating unstressed cable length. Calculated the unstressed cable length of Xi-Qiao bridge using parabolic method and catenary method.(6) Calculated the Sensitivity of Xi-Qiao bridge about the weight of gird\the stiffness of the main tower\temperature.
