Currently voltage sag has become a hot topic of research in the field of power quality because it might cause electrical equipment fail to work, especially on sensitive equipment. But the users face the lack of voltage sag simulation environment, while they are in great need of learning the voltage sag characteristics of the equipment. Therefore, this paper researches the voltage sag generator based on double DSP, to realize the voltage sag accurate simulation environment.Firstly, the design of voltage sag generator was proposed, which selected a voltage sag generator based on DSP bridge inverter circuit as the object of study. Combined with the actual situation and theoretical analysis, the controller used PI bicyclic control and SVPWM control algorithm, then selected the appropriate control parameters to simulating modeling. The simulation results verified the feasibility of the design of the control system.Secondly, the main circuit, the peripheral circuit of controller and the DSP software program of voltage sag generator was designed, to generate the voltage sag waveforms. Then, the prototype of voltage sag generator was tested, which has met the technical requirements of the design of the output waveform, voltage sag phase, voltage sag value, duration and precise control of start phase.Finally, high-voltage sodium and low-voltage tripping was chosen to tested their sensitivity to voltage sag. High-voltage sodium got its voltage-tolerance curve in its most sensitive phase angles. While low-voltage tripping is summarized and analyzed by a variety of models, the voltage-tolerance curve and operating characteristic tables can reflect the overall situation. The testing data and conclusions in this paper can provide some reference both for the user to select equipment, and equipment manufacturers to improve the device.
