Design Of Traffic Detection System Based On ZigBee Wireless Sensor Network

Intelligent vehicle detecting system is one of the most important applications of vehicle dynamic detection. Nowadays, the traffic pressure becomes seriously year by year, therefore, this paper was going to design intelligent vehicle detecting system. By placing detecting nodes, we could detect vehicle automatically and count the number of passing vehicle. This paper discussed the applications on wireless sensor networks(WSN) by introducing the technology of wireless sensor networks. The vehicle detection system was based on wireless sensor networks; it had the advantage of low cost, low power consumption, high precision and high network capacity. The design focused on the following aspects:1. Design low power wireless sensor network nodes based on CC2530 from TI.2. Design a vehicle detecting algorithm which can distinguish different types of vehicles and has high accuracy rate based on microwave sensor. Then analyze its advantages and weaknesses.3. Create a star network for wireless transmission of data and send control commands based on analysis of the Zig Bee protocol.4. Demonstrate the feasibility of the design which realizes design of traffic detection system based on Zig Bee wireless sensor network.
