Reinforced concrete structure is the most widely used structure types currently.The nondestructive testing of reinforced concrete structures in service, ready to early strengthening preventive measures, the safety of the structure and the service life can be guaranteed.In the non-destructive testing technology, acoustic emission technology is one of the most development prospect of detection technology.The latest proposed abroad,acoustic emission technique based on moment tensor,has become a hot research topic in the field of nondestructive testing,because it can quantitatively characterized fracture mechanism and failure process of the structure. In this paper,quantitying research crack mechanism of reinforced concrete structure, based on the moment tensor of acoustic emission testing technology, basis for structural health monitoring and disaster pre-warning information.This paper introduces the basic principle of two kinds of acoustic emission technology: the qualitative analysis based on the parameters and the quantitative analysis based on the signals,analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of two methods.Based on the parameter analysis method, do the three point bending test and acoustic emission testing on the reinforced concrete beams,researching the changing relationship between the parameters of acoustic emission and the load.Experimental results show that, the analysis method based on parameters can be used to qualitatively determine the damage process of reinforced concrete structures, but can’t do quantitative the related injuries.In this paper,based on the principle of seismic moment tensor,and combining moment tensor and acoustic emission technology, the methods and steps can be set upto determine the structure damage fracture location, type and direction,by the moment tensor and acoustic emission waveform data.On this basis, put forward the practical calculation method to get the angle between the fracture strike and the coordinate axis.Combination of three point bending experiment of reinforced concrete beam, making use of the AE signal wave data form compression of simply supported beam,calculateing the fracture mechanism by the acoustic emission technology based on moment tensor.By comparing with experimental results, assessing the availability that moment tensor inversion method which is applied to the reinforced concrete structures. It turned out that,the acoustic emission technology based on moment tensor can accurately describe the fracture mechanism of reinforced concrete structure.
