Taking the thermal comfort index PMV as the control target in VAV control system is possible to achieve the goal of comfort and energy conservation, and thus more and more people begin to pay attention on it. This paper first points out the unrapid, uncomfortable, no energy saving and other issues of the traditional air conditioning system.The thermal comfort control air conditioning system use the index PMV for the target aim and can measure the combined effects of thermal environment to human effects, so in recent years it became the hotsopts in the research field. By adjusting the control mode of the hot and humid parameters of the indoor environment, the body will feel always in the comfort zone. Turning the application point into the human body itself, it overthrow the traditional air-conditioning control mode. Thermal comfort control takes "people-oriented", effective solution as its responsibility and solves the control problems in traditional air-conditioning system.Secondly, because of the problem of the redundancy and the slow convergence speed in the BP neural network, the ant colony algorithm was introduced. In the Matlab environment,the index PMV was calculated by programing.Comparing the two results shows that not noly the rate of convergence became fast,but also the performance of the BP neural network was enhanced under a good degree of accuracy. Finally, we introduce the particle swarm optimization to optimaze the neural networks. After the comparison of the colony optimization to PSO,we draw the conclusion that both the two methods can all complete the selection of parameters.Then, we use the DesignBuilder software to establish the model of the room, the 24-hour weather conditions typical winter day parameters, designing PMV =-0.5, simulation calculated PMV value PMV control room given load and temperature setting is 20 ℃ control room by the time. The calculation results show that the themal comfort controled by the PMV which is setted to-0.5 is better than the contrtoled room based on the temperature which is seted to 20°C in each hour.The energy consumption of the air-conditioning system which controled by index PMV has been increased compared to the system which controled by temperature.The advantage of this control mode is that it can take every factor which affect the thermal comfort into account and make us feeling comfort.Finally,this paper discussed the influence that the control mode bring to the people and the system. Under the way of controling the PMV is equal to-0.5,the energy consumption of the air-conditioning will increase obviously.But the macroscopic analysis shows that the total energy consumption will decrease for the large air-conditioning system.So from the two aspects of comfort and energy saving,the air-conditioning system controled by PMV is more advanced compared to the traditional air-conditioning system controled by temperature.
