With the various kinds of non-linear power electronic devices are widely used in industry and people’s daily life, the power system harmonic pollution has become more and more serious. also, the power quality has been greatly affected. Passive Power Filter(PF) is the primary means to suppress harmonic pollution, but there are some inevitable drawbacks. Active Power Filter(APF) is a modern power electronic equipment, it can effectively compensate harmonic current and reactive power. Compared with passive filter, it has a good dynamic compensate performance advantages, but there is also compensate capacity, high cost disadvantages. In this paper, it is starting from the basic principle of active filter which combined with the characteristics of PF and APF, so it is proposed hybrid active power filter(HAPF),both perfect both short. It is not only reduce the investment of harmonic compensation device,but also raised the unit price and achieve the purpose of practical application.Based on the analysis of traditional parallel hybrid active power filter, it tries to propose a series resonant injection of HAPF, which has key technical parameters such as a etailed study of its modeling, design and system control. Through the filter bear the major part of the passive compensation for harmonic, active power filter is only filter the higher harmonic to improve the filtering performance of the system, so the HAPF effectively reduces the system capacity and stress levels of the APF. On the basis of harmonic analysis, this paper focuses on the principle of repetition which based on the internal model control theory and made PI control embedded in the repeated controller. The compound control applied in the HAPF current tracking control circuit, which made the system effectively reduce harmonic distortion rate.Finally, The simulation model of system are built by Matlab/Simulink software in active power filter and analysis the simulation of current harmonic detection and tracking control. Simulaton results show the superiority of compound repeat PI control method which proposed in this paper.
