The vigorous development of the automobile industry has brought our life convenience, comfortable and shortcut, but the accompanying negative effect is obvious, as the increasing in road traffic accidents do great harm to people’s lives. Driver fatigue is one of the leading causes of road traffic accidents, as a direct result of road traffic accidents accounted for about 20%. Therefore, the study of driving fatigue looking for effective methods to prevent and relieve fatigue has very important significance to prevent and reduce traffic accidents.The main research work carried out as follows:(1) Explore the factors and formation mechanism of driving fatigue and summarize in detail in terms of driving fatigue testing methods on physiological indexes as well as current research. The main physiological indicators of driving fatigue study home and abroad have the following kinds: heart rate, blood pressure, respiration, body temperature, electrical resistance, muscle, gastrointestinal electricity, evoked potential, oxygen saturation, saliva, etc. And in accordance with the specific conditions of laboratory, experiment of operability, operability, experimental requirements, we finalize the ECG, EEG, respiration rate, temperature, muscle resistance as physiological indicators of this trial.(2) Establish the experiment system. This system aims to construct driving simulation platform for testing physiological indicators when driving. The system includes a comprehensive CS310t-1-type car driving simulation system to achieve real driving operating environment; U.S. imports MP150 multi-channel physiological instrument, including an amplifier for amplifying physiological signals, sensors for perceiving of the human body and a software package Acqknowledge for data analysis.(3) Design the specific experiment process and carry out the experiment. The author select 20 graduate students subject sample, and MP150 multi-channel physiological instrument is used to measure subjects’ ECG, EEG, respiration rate, temperature, muscle resistance of 50 minutes driving time in accordance with the test procedures. At the same time, the computer record and save the experiment date for the later analysis.(4) Do the experiment date analysis and discuss using the methods of physiological indicators test software. It firstly introduces the general mathematical model of linear regression analysis and stepwise linear regression analysis, and then analyzes and compares against two regression methods calling software R. From the analysis of the results, when using general linear regression analysis, there many variables are not statistically significant, while stepwise linear regression analysis avoids the disadvantages. At last all of return validation and reliability verification illustrate the effectiveness of the method stepwise linear regression analysis.(5) Regression analysis to determine the comprehensive indicator as evaluation of driving fatigue based on principal component. First of all, the mathematical model of principal component analysis(PCA) is introduced and analyzed calling the R software. And then, the regression equation obtained by PCA is effectively verified by regression validation and reliability verification.
