This project, "research on dynamic & static behavioral mechanism and design method of new high-performance plastic alloy flexible coupling"(51175525/E0506),originates from the National Natural Science Fund Projects and also funded from independent research fund of State Key Laboratory of Mechanical Transmission, Chongqing University.As the developing of the technology,the problem of vibration has being more and more important. As a kind of common vibration isolation device, steel wire isolator is used every where. It has many advantages, such as nonlinear stiffness, more working direction and occasion, simpler structure.Steel wire usually assembles in the traditional steel wire isolator as screw. The traditional steel wire isolator needs special machines to finish the assembly. The method of its stiffness calculation is difficult. One new type of steel wire isolator uses the circle steel wire as the isolation unit. The new type of steel wire isolator makes the calculation of stiffness possible and assembling easier. Research on the new type of the steel wire isolator’s processing device and stiffness has been more and more important.The followings are the main research contents and relevant conclusion about the welding steel wire circle.① Chose the way of the steel wire cutting and welding. Analysis the technology during the welding, make sure the processing can meet the requirements. Using the fusing as the cutting way and using the flash butt welding as the welding way..② Design the complete machine of the welding processing. Draft the schematic diagram of mechanism, make sure the process of loading to unloading is feasible. Finish all the parts of the machine, make sure it can finish the welding. Simulating the process of the welding proves the design is appropriate.③ Comparison the different characteristic of the two types of steel wire isolator. Choosing the experiment device and designing the means of experiment to comparing the different between the two types of steel wire isolator. According to the characteristic of them during the experiment, the result proves the new type of steel wire isolator is better.④ Calculating the stiffness of the circle type steel wire isolator. According the method of rational mechanics and mechanics of materials, a direct calculation of the stiffness of steel wire isolator is found. The complex process of experiment doesn’t need anymore. The correctness of the calculation have is proved by experiment and finite element analysis. The method can be used in the design of the welding machine.Though this paper’s content, it provides the technology of welding steel wire circle. It makes the design of the steel wire isolator easier and allow it to be mass-produced.
