It is very important for the products in the weapon and aerospace fields to the mass property measurement, with the development of technology and the continuous improvement of measuring accuracy, the relevant equipment develops as the research on this type of products. In the area of weapons, products such as rockets and large projectiles are widespread. And there exists equipment such as satellites, spacecraft and solar panels in the field of Aeronautics and Astronautics. This kind of products have big length-diameter ratio and complex contour shape, besides, they are always with complex shape structures such as wings and rudder. So it exists problems such as clamping, security, low measuring efficiency when they are measured for rotation inertia, especially the influence of air damping.Based on the analysis of the mature mass properties measurement theory at home and aboard, for the horizontal deviation measurement, a new method of measurement is studied----double pendulum method. Simple swing the product around a small angle when measured, the value of transverse offset can be accurately measured, this method is derived from the unbalanced torque method and its measuring method is easy. Through analyzing the measurement data of standard sample, the conclusion that this method is of high accuracy is drawn.According to the problems of vertically clamping and air damping when the large object with complex structure is measured for the rotation inertia, the existing horizontal measuring methods are analyzed and compared, based on this, a new horizontal method is presented-----vibration pendulum method to measure the pitch and roll moment of inertia. And this new method is compared with the pendulum method driven by torsion bar, the measurement theory and feasibility are analyzed emphatically. The pendulum vibration test device is established and the standard sample is measured, the conclusion that the measurement data of vibration pendulum is accurate and reliable by the analysis of measurement data and device. The vibration pendulum method is a effective method for the measurement of pitch and roll moment of inertia.On the basis of research on the mass properties of large object with complex structure, the measurement equipment is designed for a type of product. The mass, center of mass and transverse are measured on the mass-centroid platform, the moment of inertia platform is used for measuring yaw, pitch and roll moment of inertia. The measuring platform for accurate measurement of distance and height. For each measurement project a detailed error analysis is carried out, effective ways to reduce the errors are put forward. After the completion of the equipment debugging, the standard sample is measured, error analysis and measurement results show that the equipment can meet the expected precision. The device runs well after the site went.
