The research subject of the thesis stems from the subtopic “Research on Transmission Principle and Key Technologies for Spatial Gears with Small Shaft Angle Based on Line Contact(51405043)”.Involute beveloid gear is the general form of involute gear, its modification coefficient is linearly varying along the direction of axial, can achieve parallel axis, intersected axis and crossed axis transmission, is widely used in power transmission field like high speed yacht, speedboat, precision robot, all-drive motor and so on. but the geometric design process of involute beveloid gear transmission is complicated,the select of geometric design parameters like modification coefficient, cone angle, helix angle is depend on the experience of designer, when the installation way(parallel axis, intersected axis and crossed axis) is different, the design process is independent of each other. For above-mentioned, the general geometric design method of involute beveloid gear transmission with parallel axis, intersected axis and crossed axis is researched. Then, based on this method, developing the model of involute beveloid gear transmission with parallel axes, the meshing characteristics is researched, to provide theoretical foundation for the industrialization promotion of involute beveloid gear transmission, it has great academic signification and engineering value.Main research contents of the thesis are as follows:① On the basis of conjugate meshing theory of pitch cone, the general geometric design method is proposed which can apply to involute beveloid gear transmission with parallel axis, intersected axis and crossed axis at the same time, the unify of the design method of involute beveloid gear transmission at different installation way is achieved;② On the basis of the theory of hobbing machining, mathematical model of teeth surfaces of involute beveloid gear is developed, Matlab is used to write solve program of tooth pastry cloud, Pro/E is used to developed accurate three-dimensional entity model of involute beveloid gear; doing the geometric design of involute beveloid gear transmission with parallel axes;③ finite element method is used to develop the meshing analysis model of involute beveloid gear transmission with parallel axes, key parameter cone angle of geometric design is researched to analyse the effect on meshing characteristics, researching the effect law of load on meshing characteristics;④ On the basis of actual installation conditions of gear pair, offset error, axial position error and axial parallelism error of involute beveloid gear transmission with parallel axes is defined to research the effect of assembly errors on meshing characteristics of gear pair, analyze the change rule of contact force, transmission error, time-varying meshing stiffness, tooth root stress under different installation error.
