With the rapid development of China’s economy and the basic infrastructure construction is strengthened strongly in our country, products quality inspection is particularly important. Recently, our country has higher requirements for quality inspection of steel structures——detecting quickly, correctly and non-destructive. So it is particularly urgent for the inspection departments to establish a fast, efficient, energy and consumption saving mobile laboratory. So we combined the method of Leed hardness and the microscopic approach to convert the intensity quickly and accurately and it meets the needs of the domestic detection departments’ development and technological innovation.In this background, the article study on the following contents:1. Breaking through the conversion method of hardness and strength of steel and getting a suitable method of testing the strength of steel on site. Factors affecting the accuracy of the test results are discussed. Making a test program and reducing the impact of factors affecting the test results.2. Making out the correspondence relationship between the variables by regression analysis of the collected testing data and correcting the results of Regression analysis. Using the method of mathematical statistics to analyze the data and getting a mathematical model. Correcting the mathematical model by bring in the testing data.3. Penetrate metallurgical and chemical composition analysis to the model of hardness and strength of steel, building a mathematical model between hardness, chemical composition, grain size and strength.According to the research, we get the correspondence relationship between Re, Rm and leed hardness and analyze the testing data using several methods. At the same time, bring microscopic variables into mathematical model by Stepwise regression analysis to establishing a mathematical model with higher accuracy.
